Call for Essays, ‘Myth and Eco-Criticism: A Natural Encounter’, Ecozon@, deadline 15 Jan 2018. Proposals welcome until 1 Oct 2017

Myth criticism has so far been largely concerned with the historical study of mythical figures and motifs, and focused on its interface with the disciplines of anthropology, sociology and psychoanalysis. It has drawn on structuralism and symbolism for its theories and methodologies, rather than looking to ecocriticism or developing a conceptual framework for interdisciplinary dialogue with it. Therefore, for its Autumn 2018 issue, Ecozon@ welcomes essays that engage with the interrelationship of myth and ecocriticism. Full details HERE
